11am: Morning Tea after service.
First Sunday of the month is ‘Soup Sunday’. Soup Sunday replaces the normal morning tea with Soup and Break and an optional donation to support the work of our Mercy Ministries Team.
12pm: Lunch at a local club. Most weeks a group goes for lunch at different venues.

We have a variety of events happening throughout the week. For a small church we pack a big punch with groups on most days of the week. Below you will find basic details about each activity. Click on the button below and complete the form and a leader will get in contact to help you find the group(s) suitable for you.

- Experiencing God: A one-to-one foundational course with Pastor Peter Watson.
- Conversations: Conversational groups that meet in a variety of times and places. Catherine Green.

- Wednesday 10am: ‘Knit & Knatter’ meets fortnightly at Balgownie Village Community Centre, 113 Balgownie Rd, Balgownie. Contact: Robyn James.

- Thursday 10am: Women’s Bible Study. Venue alternates. Contact: Narelle Blue.

- Friday / Saturday Evening Meal with Pastor Peter and Linda Watson: Every 6-8 weeks at 9 Pendleton Close, Tarrawanna. Contact Peter Watson.

CHILDREN
A safe place for kids to grow in their faith.
We are all about kids! We provide safe, clean and fun environments as we teach from the Bible, sing songs, and participate in activities to connect kids to the lesson and to each other.
We are a small church so only have a few young kids but they are caringly catered for.
All children workers have ‘Working with Children’s’ certificate and always work in pairs.
YOUTH & YOUNG ADULTS
Raising up a generation passionate for Jesus.
We believe that young people can know their purpose and identity in Jesus as they walk through their school and university years into adulthood. At ICOC we help our young people grow in their unique experience of God.
All youth workers have ‘Working with Children’s’ certificate and always work in pairs.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Mercy Ministries providing practical help
Mercy Ministries is our service to the most vulnerable in our community. This ministry is headed by Catherine Green.

Illawarra Church of Christ takes up a regular offering to provide financial support to the Wollongong Homelessless Hub. At Christmas we also collect food and other requested items for handing out through the Homeless Hub.
Deaf Ministy
Sponsorship of two deaf students in the Philippines through ‘Deaf Action’.
Our Church has decided to sponsor two students who are somewhat disabled because they are deaf.
They are both students at the Bacolod City National High School in the Philippines.
Geneveve started school late because her parents could not afford to pay for her education.
She is progressing well and has now started Grade 9
Her favorite sport is Badmington and her favorite subject is English
Gerald has been deaf since birth, 11th October 2002, but the cause is unknown.
Gerald has no father now, and lives with his mother, four brothers, and one sister at Himalayan City. He stays at the Bacolod Dormitory to attend school and goes home for the weekend to help look after his siblings. His mother works hard but only earns a low wage and struggles to support and pay school expenses for her children.
Gerald was promoted to Grade 8 in June 2019 and is progressing well. He continues to be a friendly and helpful student, and is also very athletic.
His favourite subject is English, and he enjoys riding and running.
