FAQS

Common Questions

What should I wear?

We highly recommend clothes. But seriously, we’re a casual church, so wear what you’re comfortable in.

Where do I go When I arrive

We’re a small friendly church so you will find a seat next to a friendly person. If you want the back row turn up a few minutes early!

What is a typical Service Like?

The service is 60 minutes long.

The music is contemporary and  uplifting with the occasional older song. You can listen to songs from our current playlist here.
There is a 15-20 minute bible-based practical message.
There will be some times of prayer led from the front.
Most weeks we have communion (also known as The Lord’s Supper) which is a short cermony to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus. It’s simple and you don’t have to participate. If you’d like to join in there is a gluten free option.
Young children are able to sit with parents or be looked after by our children’s ministry. (Everybody working with children must have a current ‘Working with Children’ certificate and we always ensure there are two adults present.)
After the service we connect with one another over morning tea and then some of us go off for lunch together.
On the first Sunday of the month we have ‘Soup Sunday’ as our morning tea which is often cooked by our Youth and Young Adults.
Most Sundays a group will go for lunch at a local club. One of our favourites is Corrimal Bowling club from 11.45am.

What does the Speaker talk about?

A positive and practical lesson from the bible. Our speaker will normally speak 15-25 minutes.

The speaker is often Pastor Peter Watson, but others, both men and women speak sometimes.

You can hear a recent message here.

Do I have to be a Christian to Attend?

That’s a big fat no! Prior faith is not required.

What do you have for my kids

Young children are able to sit with parents or be looked after by our children’s ministry. (Everybody working with children must have a current ‘Working with Children’ certificate and we always ensure there are two adults present.)

Di i have to give money?

Nope. In fact, if this is your first visit, we ask that you don’t.

Do you have coffee

Yes! We have free tea and coffee, and most of the time, there are some other snacks too.
